There has been no change. Directed time budgets are not accurate or truly individualised. As a year head the workload I have is unmanageable, and I’m spending so long sorting out red tape that I can’t do the best job in looking after the wellbeing of pupils, which is why I went into this leadership position as it is. The expectation that to work an additional 7 hours and 30 minutes unpaid is “reasonable” is quite frankly offensive, I’m certain the minister wouldn’t take on that level of work for no pay.
